1969 Volvo 164

REV is excited to offer this incredible 1969 Volvo 164 for sale, on consignment by it's local owner. This 164 was acquired in 2007 from a gentleman in Colorado who had only owned it a year, and purchased it from the original owner in California. The miles are documented and original. It was sold new in Oakland, CA at Continental Volvo. Because this Volvo was never exposed to salt, it has no body rust or undercarriage rust, which is very rare for a Volvo of this vintage! The paint was redone a couple years ago in the original color. It was always maintained on time, and stored out of the elements. The car currently runs and drives well, however the tires are a bit old, the AC does not blow cold air, and the transmission hesitates to shift into 3rd gear until the vehicle is at close to operating temperature. Once it has been properly warmed up, it shifts effortlessly into 3rd gear. Recent maintenance includes a rebuild of the dual Stromberg carburetors, new fuel sending unit, full tune-up, new shifter bushing, new passenger turn signal unit, new fuel pump, regulator, and filter, new distributor and ignition coil, new sunroof weather stripping, new steering coupler. Many more items have been repaired in the past 20 years, there is a stack of maintenance receipts completed at professional repair shops.
