REV is pleased to offer this stunning 1969 Pontiac Firebird Convertible, finished in the original Liberty Blue over Blue Vinyl interior, with a white vinyl top. This Firebird comes to REV on consignment by it's second owner. The local owner is the daughter of the original owner, who purchased the car brand new. She states that the odometer is accurate, and the car has just over 53,000 original miles. It was equipped from the factory with some rare options, and the High Output 350 V8. Those options include power windows, power seat, power antenna, cruise control, air conditioning, AM/FM radio, custom interior with the molded door panels, center console, burl wood grain, sport 3-spoke PMD steering wheel, tilt, ps, pb, and PMD wire wheels. The car has had Ziebart rustproofing, and the body is rot free. The paint was professionally resprayed at some point in the past, and presents well, with some light bubbling on just the trunk lid from off-gassing of the primer. The original floor pans are in good shape. The chrome bumpers appear to be original, and are in good shape for the age, but not perfect. The convertible top is in great shape and free from any rips or stains, the rear plastic window is transparent and not cloudy from age. The dash is free from cracking, and the carpet and upholstery is in mostly great shape except for a rip in the driver's seat bolster. The kick panels, and the passenger seat back has faded color from age. The cruise control is not currently hooked up. The driver's power seat motor is audibly functioning, but the seat will not move forward or back. It is in a comfortable position for anyone of average height. The radial tires are old, flat-spotted, and will need to be replaced. All of the lights are functional. The car had been sitting for the past several years. In order to prepare it for sale, it had some recent mechanical work. This includes a new radiator, new drive belts, new brake master cylinder, new rear wheel cylinders, new rear brake hose, brake fluid flush, new shift shaft selector seal, and a new battery. The car fires right up hot or cold and runs great! It idles smoothly, and has great power.
